Amazed and Overwhelmed
On June 30th at about 5pm my family and I set out for a destination. The car pack to the hilt, and and the tank full, we were ready. Little did I know the beautiful destination we would find. It was not my sister's house as originally planned but rather a gift from the Lord and from you, the Summit. We traveled into the night, slept in a hotel somewhere in Ohio, and finally rolled into Georgetown Mass on the 1st. The week was great and we had a great time reconnecting with my sister's family. On the 4th we walked the Freedom Trail, Ate GREAT ITALIAN in the North end, had a Lobster tail from Mike's Pastry(best sweet in the World),I am Sure they will be in heaven. The highlight of my day however was getting to thank God as my family sat together in the Old North Church(you know ...one if by land twoif by sea), for the freedom we have to worship. I was amazed to think that the very men who fought for my freedom could have sat in the very place my family sat 250 years later. it was a sacred moment, not so much patriotic as Godtriotic (i think I just made up a word)! God reminded me of HIS plan for us to know Him and make Him known. From Boston we left to drive back and decided we would take a side trip, about 45 min out of our way, was the Canadian side of Niagra. If you have never been, you should. I stood amazed not a tourism but a God who simply spoke, and it was! The power and force and beauty so resembled HIM there was no denying it. My family and I stood wet on the bow of the Maid of the Midst. Soaked more by God than Water.
He Is Great!
