At the Summit, we believe that Christ's command "to make disciples" is an awe inspiring, directive for our local Body of Christ.  We believe that a disciple is one who is growing in knowing the glory of Jesus - one who is passionately following Christ and coming to know His overwhelming greatness,His glory.  We also believe that a disciple is one who pours out the glory of Jesus into other's lives.  Jesus modeled this process for us with 12 men He called His disciples.  Below is a diagram of this model and the things Jesus involved in helping these men grow into mature disciples who knew and made known His glory.

Our beginning point to help facilitate this process is our BASE Camps or small groups.  In climbing terms, the Base Camp is the place where climbers go to receive nourishment, a place to rest, and refuge from the storms on the mountain.  Summit Base Camps are designed to meet those same needs, and more.  The church in every sense of the Biblical meaning will occur at its smallest, most relational form at the Summit through Base Camps.  Here are a few things that you can expect from being actively involved in a Base Camp.

- See lives come to know the forgiveness and love of Jesus Christ.

- See your life changed through the Truth of God's Word.
- Real life will be lived as you connect with others in God's family.
- Prayer will become more meaningful and purposeful to you.
- Living by the power of God's Spirit will become part of who you are.
- See your life equipped to pour out the glory of Christ into others as you are gifted.
- Worship will become a response to life and not a duty or Sunday only experience.
- God will begin to take you on mission with Him as you go through life.

Below, you will find the current Base Camps and the times that they meet throughout the week and the host home.  Also, you can see firsthand what each group is studying.  New camps are forming all the time.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call John Ryan at 314-575-7500.
